Work

Structure that held up at scale

Over ten years I've shaped information architecture and content strategy for government departments, health bodies and membership organisations. Here are three examples.

Royal Society of Arts

A clearer offer for the Fellowship

The work
A Fellowship that needed a clear reason to join and a clearer path once people had joined.
What I did
Content strategy and information architecture: the Fellowship value proposition, onboarding, post-join emails and an analysis of the community platform.
Outcome
A focused call to action for the RSA: a clear and compelling offer for the Fellowship, and a physical space for connection and collaboration in central London.

Department for International Trade

Strategic direction for 100+ exporting country guides

The work
Guidance on exporting to over 100 countries, which needed a consistent structure and taxonomy so businesses could find what applied to them.
What I did
Set the strategic direction for the country guides and led the taxonomy work across them.
Outcome
The guides helped the department give UK businesses personalised, tailored content to help them grow through exporting.

Food Standards Agency

From organisation-centric to user-centred

The work
A public regulator's website, organised around internal teams rather than the people using it.
What I did
Designed a new information architecture for the site.
Outcome
The Food Standards Agency moved to a structure that shares time-specific safety updates alongside ongoing advice and guidance on food safety policy.
